| Description | IST: When getting IPP printer attributes some PPD options like finishings are not mapped to IPP by CUPS. SOLL: Introduce a .ppde text file with PPD extensions, where PPD options are mapped to IPP attributes, and link this .ppde file to a Proxy Printer. The mapped IPP attributes are common descriptions for proxy printer capabilities so a suitable printer can easily be selected for specific print job requirements (finishings). However, when an IPP print job is sent to CUPS the mapped IPP attributes are replaced by their original PPD options and choices so CUPS can use these for PPD processing and filtering. | ||||
