Summary | 0000785: Deprecate SavaPage Windows OEM Driver | ||
---|---|---|---|
Revision | 2017-02-06 19:04 by rijkr | ||
Description | IST: In July 2016, Microsoft changed their printer driver signing policy. Organizations can no longer sign their drivers with their own certificate. Now drivers need to be signed by Microsoft. This makes the unsigned SavaPage Windows OEM Driver unusable. SOLL: Development on SavaPage Windows OEM Driver is discontinued, since SavaPage will not deliver proprietary printer drivers. As SavaPage Windows OEM Driver is deprecated, users who choose Windows as their OS, can use any (generic) PostScript driver from the Windows printer list to print to SavaPage. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3170005/ms16-087-security-update-for-windows-print-spooler-components-july-12,-2016?mc_cid=60de85a845&mc_eid=8d406d3a05 https://msdn.microsoft.com/windows/hardware/drivers/install/driver-signing |
